Faith and belief comprise a very important part of our lives. A person's beliefs in many ways define who they are --
how they see themselves, what they want out of life, and more.
On this web site you will read about the other side
of transplant the children who dont make it or die later. Each childs story is uniuqe and the family's grief uniuqe.
If your just begining this journey please read these pages read of these children what we dont understand is they give you
these pictures of all the kids who do well they forget to tell you of the ones that pathed the way for those children.
They forget to tell you the heartach you will feel when your child is one of the 10 20 or 30 out of a 100 that dont make it.
This site is not anti transplant I know many childrens whose life has been saved by under going a transplant but
what they dont tell you is how life limiting this surgery is the complications are undauting the pain and sacrafice is real
so many times parents in a hopeless situation are told of this option and then in fine little print the many many complications
they make light of these complications till we lose a child to one of these complicaitions we as parents never worry until
that day.
Also there is so much competition in this field especailly in the newer field of multiorgan transplants so many new centers
opening up so many older ones now are ill prepared to care for such fragile children afterwards when they need it the most
we as parents must fight for the best care possible for our children. These centers must be held accountable to our
children for when they fail. They hide behind HIPPa and such to hide the tragedys of these childrens life they forget
to tell you all the things that can go wrong they forget to tell parents about the quality of life your child may or may not
have. Most important they forget to tell you these children are just experiments and each teaches them in one way or
another but when they fail and the child dies they go on with life but a shattered family still lives on.
I'll also be sure to provide links to my favorite sites as well as information about organizations that help
strengthen or support my beliefs on transplant and transplant issues.
